"Life can take many forms. Look at the forms life can take on this planet alone.
Here in this bush, there are insects you could easily mistake for rocks or for pieces of bark -
until one of them stings you, that is. Life does not have to consist of bipeds who move and
breath and smoke cigars as we do. I have said it before and I say it again -
the universe is a gigantic chamber of possibility where everything has the chance and the right to happen,
and so we must not have cut-and-dry theories regarding just how life should look.
Life could surprise us!

The Rabbit Hole

How far would you go?

beyond...between

to be so kind

but deep inside

are you mean?

Like wearing fresh clothes

but your heart is unclean?

Before you (START) The Rabbit hole

Fill out the survey of

How Much Left Do You Have Of Your Soul?

  • Are you free or under any control?
  • Your spirit: Is it warm or is it cold?
  • Beautiful or ugly?
  • Dry or muggy?
  • Sentimental or Judgmental?
  • Local or Continental?

It doesn't matter where u choose to be

as long as you walk in honesty.

(HINT)

There is one and only one way, ya dig?

It's through that cage on the left called the rib

You must make it pass that and not stumble

Remember to close your eyes and remain humble

Let her heal your horrible past

and make it crumble

light yrs fast

It's simple, ya gotta listen to a thumpin' sound

then dive deep up into the abyss of

what we call her heart

once found you stay there...

absorb...

endure silence...

Now this part won't be easy,

you'll have to hold onto your balance

from her magical kiss

immerse yourself

to this kind of bliss...

Open your eyes...

(FINISH)

WELCOME

to

The Rabbit Hole

Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile."

Children Eat Your Bread

IDK where to begin

as I look around

I just stay writin & dancin

to keep from feelin down

Continue to pray

when I feel it cavin in

so I remind myself I am only human

But I stop and say I am not "only human"

Nor am I a victim!

I am Victorious!

Glorious!

even when they say I am lesser

I emulate a pine tree

and absorb all the negativity

reverse it to something

absolutely beautiful...

I live in NY

Yeah, the concrete jungle

bodies walkin by

never greet ya hi

(unless your dressed fly)

Look around...

I ask Him "why?"

They keep building buildings up to the sky

not planting enough trees

look around, everyone is high

giggling to keep in the cry

oh my...my children must keep both eyes

open

focus

tell em don't fall for the hocus-pocus

Clothe them in armor

of knowin the Word

tell him he is a liar

save that s--t for the birds

Keep your thoughts and mind on Him

for He dwells inside of You

Humble is the Only way

Jesus no doubt got you

Best be prepared

Cause when they come

baby they're gonna be scared

of that holy water gun

and my holy gum

I'll be poppin all in their ears

keep squirtin baby

til the rabbits chill with the bears

lambs with the lions

sharks with the seals

Promise Mommy you will never wear the seal

never sell your soul

don't stress over nothing

you haven't any control

Run. Jog.

Walk in Faith

Never Run out of Love

Know that Power

you carry is from above

Trust your intuition

I tell u only the truth

take heed

Baby I love you...

LOVE OR SALT (Excerpt by Darcel Turner)

~Excerpt from Lathered Layers, Darcel Turner

Tears, frustration, questions about life, her life, not knowing of not knowing consumed Shepa.
Instead of taking the college route, she took the spiritual route and He sent her a humble soul. He was humble, talented, receptive and perceptive. Their energy was kinetic. They connected on a spiritual level. She saw herself in him and he in her and together they became one, shining like God. Shepa had this special gift with painting with her hands. She knew how to paint colors on a person's aura. Through the Creator, she would paint him green and white when he came in from work.

In a matter of time, the two started to illuminate. He attracted the raise he needed, the loan he requested, the dream he prayed for and Shepa patiently waited for the promise of marriage. In the meantime they were blessed with a beautiful son. But something happened.

A colorless shadow interfered and worked to tangle their future. Colorless shadow threw ounces of temptation in Shepa's man's workplace. Colorless Shadow sent his radiant and fresh looking women toward Shepa's lover. They seduced and teased him to follow their path which was very broad and extremely wide enough to accommodate her. He followed far until he was in a town Shepa would not enter. It was her choice. She loved him so much and cried hard and long for him to stay in their community. She would not dare enter colorless shadow's town for it did not feel right to her.

The town was very attractive and enticing, striking and gleaming. Looking through those broad, wide gates, from what Shepa saw, was exquisite and enticing models. Stunning jewels attached to attractive body parts. Freshly cut green grass, unique flowers and abundant trees. The gatekeepers dressed in black. Slender bodied, skirt suits and big sunglasses exited from private jet planes. Desperate yet happy people waved papers and pens as they hovered over shiny black, fancy Mercedes and SUV's. At night, the town sparkled with Christmas lights and gigantic alters of confident faces on billboards. Those same confident faces would be eating at the nearby restaurants, walking their dog or at a friend's party in their mansion homes.

The visuals caught Shepa's eyes, but the fragrance just didn't smell right to her. No one anointed themselves with oils of Frankincense, Myrrh or Egyptian Musk. Their fragrances stood tall in odd shaped vases that were manufactured in Italy or France. She saw her man riding away in a fancy, black car. Shepa called out his name but the people's chatter, their laughter, their questions, their admiration, the music and his bubble consumed him. She called his name but the car only honked goodbye.

She waited until the next day when the gatekeepers' foot nudged her thigh to move out of the employee's way. Most of which were Mexican, Black and Latino workers. They all worked different jobs with similar expressions on their faces. Discreet and secretive. Shepa spotted some of her friends behind the gate running and then hopping on to his bandwagon asking for a position. Colorless shadow's people laid hands all over Shepa's love and Shepa called out to him again and this time, they turned around and frowned at her showing their terrific smiles and perfect, white teeth.

She smiled back because of her innocence and naivete, but she felt confusion and defeat. Shepa started back home. She did not turn her back around toward her true love for she knew she would turn into a pillar of salt. The man she loved has been cuddled (like so many) into the arms of colorless shadow.

She and their son returned to their dusty shack, the untamed grass united with weeds. They returned to the very same place where many get down on their knees and pray. Where the pictures of the confident faces hung on street corners of buildings, store fronts, roofs of trains, waists of buses, t-shirts on the youth but these confident faces would not be found walking in the flesh. Unreal...

Healher Heart

She yanked another broken arrow from her aching heart. Then carefully pulled the splinters from her artery. Darcel sealed the bitter wound with sweet, raw honey. Her peace was now still...

This Kind of Woman has faith & believes in ManKind...a Kind Man, a Brave Man who will (can) receive her love. Until then, she will be still & untouched. ~Darcel Turner
